Hello, I'm Janica Pierre, a trained birth doula passionate about supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My approach combines compassionate, client-centered care with a strong foundation in healthcare operations, advocacy, and family support.

For the past 15 years, I have worked in the health insurance industry, helping members navigate complex healthcare systems and access the services and resources they need. This experience has strengthened my ability to educate, advocate, problem-solve, and support individuals during important life transitions.

I hold a Master of Public Administration from Anna Maria College and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from University of Rhode Island.

Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of supporting family members and friends throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. By attending multiple births, assisting with birth planning, providing emotional support during labor, and helping families navigate the transition into parenthood, I discovered a deep passion for birth work. These experiences inspired me to pursue formal doula training to better serve families and provide evidence-based, culturally responsive support. In May 2026, I completed my doula training through Doulas of Diaspora.

As a doula, I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their choices. I bring both creativity and discipline to my work—offering nurturing support while remaining organized, dependable, and attentive to each family's unique needs. My goal is to help families feel informed, confident, and supported throughout one of life's most transformative experiences.
